    O-Bar

    8279 Santa Monica Blvd.
    West Hollywood, CA 90069
    323-822-3300

If you didn’t know it was there, you might pass right by it; but that, however, is part of O-Bar’s beauty. Surreptitiously tucked away along the east-of-La-Cienega section of Santa Monica Blvd, this popular haunt oozes oodles of class…and where you least expect it; it’s a chic oasis from “the other side of the strip”, and it’s well-welcomed in this part of WeHo. Trendy enough for a crazy night out with the boys and yet refined enough for a business dinner, half-price happy hour reigns supreme here. Every evening (especially on Thursday nights), the place slowly fills with a fashionable mix of upper-middle class gay men and the women who platonically love them. While known for its bar (which is well adorned with enlivened art that must be seen to believe), O-Bar also boasts an award winning dinner menu. “Familiar with a twist” entrée, dessert and spirits selections are not to be missed…especially when served on a golden platter from one of the restaurant’s private cabanas. Gorgeous in its décor and yet unpretentious in its patronage, O-Bar is truly a neighborhood bar with heaping helping of Beverly Hills sexy.

    PLAIN AND SIMPLE

Patio Mirage ~ This place has the most wicked back patio grotto; however, due to city noise ordinances, it’s closed to the public. You can look, but you can’t touch. What a tease!

Holy Half-Price! ~ There’s a happy hour daily (including Saturdays and Sundays) from 6-8pm, which is always well attended. And on Sunday, every bottle of wine is half-priced. It’s a great (and twice-as-nice thrifty) way to end the weekend.

Eat & Be Merry, Mary! ~ All of the menus at O-Bar are phenomenal, from the wine and spirit list to the appetizer menu and the entrée selection. And while the food is delectably delicious, you’re paying for what you’re getting. Dinner at The O doesn’t come cheap, but it’s worth every penny. (So if you’re not saving for a rainy day, get your SugarDaddy to take you.)
