Where the boys are…is most defiantly at Avalon’s Tigerheat. The hottest and best-attended 18+ event in the West Hollywood area, DJ Rhodes plays your favorite pop hits while the Boy University Student Body dancers let their magma cum laude hang out. Each night, although similar in its carefree fun and no-hold-bar attitude, features a different theme: a CD release party, an “all Britney” night and/or (if you’re lucky) live performances by superstars like Janet Jackson. And each night plays by one rule: there are no rules; gay, lesbian, old, young, shirtless or full-clothed, this club gets packed by all types by 11:30 and stays that way until closing. If you’re a SugarDaddi in search of a HouseBoi (or vice versa) or just a group of gays looking for a pretentious-free good time, Tigerheat is a Thursday night must…at least once.
PLAIN AND SIMPLE
I’ve Never Felt So Old There’s something to said for being 25 and feeling “too old” to be at a club. Keep in mind that this is an 18+ night, and the 18-21 year-olds take over, hardcore! So either get ready to swim with the fishies or get out of the kiddie pool.
A DJ Saved My Life Tonight If you love all-things pop and dance mixed, you simply need to stop in Tigerheat, whatever age you may be. This club boasts the most pop-tastic collection of bubble gum hits this side of the Santa Monica Blvd dance floor.
How “High School” of You Sometimes waiting in line at Tigerheat can feel like getting picked for a sport team in high school gym class; some boys walk right in, while others are stuck in the growing-by-the-minute line. Look your best and flirt with the doorman, because this club is definitely not first come, first served.
