This year’s WeHo Awards will benefit Whittier Rio Hondo AIDS Project. The awards ceremony, in it’s seventh year is sort of a queer version of the Oscars celebrating MPVs and organizations in the the Los Angeles gay community. The categories range from best Los Angeles Community Volunteer, to best new business, to hottest bartender. The organizations hopes celebrating the achievements of community members will bring everyone a little bit closer. This year’s beneficiary, Whittier Rio Honda AIDS Project strives to educate the community at large and youth in particular about HIV and how to prevent it. The dinner will take place on January 21 at The Avalon in Hollywood. Voting for the event happened a locations around West Hollywood during December and now, it’s time to vote online. From December 28th until December 31st, you’ve got the opportunity to vote for your favorites by visiting www.wehoawards.org.
